RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an very simple XML schema that can be used to obtain news feeds from another site. These can be used in a news aggregator or some sort of desktop reader program (task bar ticker) or can be combined and used on another website. Be careful of copyright issues, using a RSS feed without giving credit could be construed as ‘Passing Off’. Most online newspaper sites now provide RSS Feeds and many IT support organizations are moving in that direction in order to better inform resellers of faults.
